5 Things to Remember in 2021

5 Things to Remember in 2021

Happy New Year my gorgeous people,

I hope you had a good Christmas and New Year despite the circumstances we are currently in. I just want to remind you all, you are not alone and to stay strong. If you feel you are really having a hard time mentally I have listed some excellent good charities to follow on Instagram and get in touch with:

As it is January and the start of a new year, I want to remind you of five things to remember in 2021, at times, we all need to be reminded.

1. Ignore any opinions that don’t enhance your life.

What other people think about you is not your business. People are always going to talk and have an opinion no matter what. You could do all the good in the world and somebody out there will still have something negative to say. Do not spend precious time worrying and stressing over the opinions of people who do not do anything good for your life. As this pandemic has proven to us, life is way too short, none of us are promised tomorrow so we should spend less time worrying about opinions and more time living our life and doing things for ourselves! After all, if they don’t pay your bills, pay them no time.

2. Less complaining, realise there is always somebody in the world worse off, so use that to remember how lucky you are.

I completely understand at times things can just suck point-blank. I have times where I feel so low, I feel like life isn’t fair, why me! I can feel sometimes bitter and envious of other’s, especially when you see some beautiful women on Instagram with their scar-free tummies. That’s okay though, we are allowed to feel this way, we are all only human. We are allowed to feel angry at the world sometimes and you do not need to feel guilty for feeling these types of ways. However, one thing I do want you to remember that there is always somebody somewhere in the world who would do anything to trade places with you. As long as you have a roof over your head, food to eat and water to drink you are rich.

3. Don’t compare yourself to others, you are a whole King or Queen.

Repeat after me: ‘I will not compare myself to anybody, I am worthy just as I am’

The only person you should be in competition with is yourself and even then that’s just learning to grow into the best version of who you want to become – recognising mistakes or lessons learnt and growing from them. We are all born unique for a reason. Unfollow any accounts whether that be celebrities, family or friends that make you feel bad about yourself and replace them for ones that empower and inspire you and fill you with positivity.

4. Don’t be afraid to spend time alone, embrace it and if need be re-invent yourself in the process.

Honestly, I cannot express enough how amazing time alone is. It allows you to really get to know yourself and understand who you are, it’s a time for you to grow and self-improve (if there is anything you think needs improving). Trust me, there is always something to work on otherwise self-love wouldn’t exist. Things I like to do for my own self-love is script, watch my favourite TV shows that are full of feel-good things, have long baths and read.

5. Kindness is free.

The nicest thing anyone can have in the world is kindness, and even better it doesn’t cost you a penny. When you mind your business and stay in your lane and only worry about you and not spend time gossiping about others, life becomes much easier. Shut anything down if somebody starts talking about somebody or something in a negative manner that is going to disturb your sacred energy. Small acts of kindness can go such a long way. You never know it may just make somebody who needs it smile.

I hope you can take these five simple points with you into 2021, especially as everything at the moment is horrid, times are hard, and we are all stressed with what is happening in the world. The best thing we can do is stick together and just be kind. We do not know what is going on behind closed doors for others,

Please stay safe and I will speak to you next month.

Love
