How the service works
Respond understand your life is busy. To make things easier, once you’ve joined the service and placed your order, they will write to your GP directly to confirm your prescription, where possible.
The customer services team will work with your requirements and GP to ensure your order is delivered soon as possible.
If you live in England and your surgery offers the NHS Electronic Prescription Service (EPS), all you need to do is nominate Respond as your preferred supplier for stoma prescriptions. Your GP will then be able to email your prescription – saving you time. Simply order as normal and Respond will take care of the rest.
Signing up is easy
Step 1 – You can sign up for the home delivery service by calling their friendly support team, sending an email or visiting the website.
Make sure you have your full name, address, phone number, GP details and the prescription items that you’d like to order to hand.
Step 2 – Respond will contact your GP directly where possible to get your prescription. As soon as this is received, your order will be sent out and they will be in touch.
Step 3 – Now you can sit back, relax and look forward to your parcel arriving. All orders are sent in discreet, unbranded packaging.
When placing your order, you will also be provided with any complimentary extras you might need – like moist wipes, dry wipes or disposal bags. Respond also provide you with:

Extra care at home
Respond’s local community nurse teams are there to help you make the move from hospital to home. Their support complements the care you receive from your hospital stoma nurses and healthcare professionals. The nurses can visit you at home, provide expert support and advise on how best to live with a stoma.
